As clothing is created by hand with substantial effort in the dragonscape, rather than off the rack with no effort in a department store, I'd imagine the pattern and design have a significant tribal meaning. Oli's personality being what it is, the tribe will likely associate it with Drekir Karens from now on.
Yeah that hood was likely handwoven on a loom from carefully foraged textile fabrics (likely Hemp) and so it is definitely not the easiest thing to weave even a courser fabric. So having something with a handwoven pattern, however simple, does put that hood at a more notable level of quality.

So why is it sort of indecent for Oli to not have neck coverings, but the blue one there is fine? Or is it simply due to the tribals views and each is different on their overall views about fashion and decency?
