Originally made for a tabletop rpg but I use this character for other things; basically a creature that originates from the deeper astral called Umbrals. Being near one generally feels colder with a sense of fear; not something they can turn on and off, but their friends are generally used to it after some time. To them, fear is experienced differently than normal creatures.
Interestingly, they are not alignment locked to Neutral or Evil, but their world is far too alien and different for most to comprehend.
