Hunters' Guild Red Hood is a new Shonen Jump series that drew me in from the first chapter, about a group fighting against a werewolf scourge. In this universe, 'werewolves' are ordinary people who spontaneously lose their humanity and transition into these spindly, furry, eldritch flytrap things driven by an urge to consume exclusively human flesh... but, as far as chapter 1 is concerned, they look kinda goofy, in a cute way? The concept first sounds horrifying, but I can't stay terrified at these foppish buggy eyes. I watched the enemy beat the protagonist to the ground while describing their plans to eat him only after forcing him to watch everyone he loves die first, and still felt bad at the moment they realized they were about to meet their end.
This was originally to be done with flat colors, but I made the subject a bit too pink, so I sprayed on white highlights, and it worked way better than I had planned.
