My half of an ACEO trade with Dragarta, and this is her character of the same name. :'D
I absolutely love her half—you should definitely go visit her! She has a way with traditional art.
Microns, gouache, gold ink, and white gel pen all on heavy bristol paper. :D No ballpoint pen this time... I wanted to try using Microns again~
When I used to use them they would explode on me. I'm glad to know they don't do that anymore. >__>

Aww, thanks! I still am so unsure of the media, though... >_> And it does, actually. :0
Haha... I'm not sure. I might have just been retarded and pressing too hard... the nib would sputter (or "trip" on grains in the paper) and ruin the lines I was trying to work on. And then I stayed away from traditional stuff for years, lol.

Holy shit, exploding microns? That would fucking suck. D:
I love mixed media extravaganzas and this is no different. The contrast between the dragon's neck and wing adds some nice depth while still looking cartoony and simple. Also, splash of purple with red is yummy. Nice job.
(I want to try gouache on bristol board now. c:)

Goddddd it did. I've had so much early artwork ruined by that brand that I actually stopped doing traditional for years. D: Copic Multiliners are cheaper and work better IMO, but I forgot to take them home with me. >>;
Thank you! :D I can't seem to ever stick to one medium, haha. (And you should totally try it! Bristol is actually pretty good for light washes, though it might curl a tiny bit if you don't stretch the paper in advance.)
