As you know, Megaplex is coming. Yes I am very excited. https://megaplexcon.org/node/35
To help with the charity of C.A.R.E., a group of the Thursday Prompt writers put together this anthology. One hundred copies have been printed, and they will be for sale at registration for $12 each. All proceeds (100% of the sale price) will go to the charity. I'm sorry, but they will only be available there.
The C.A.R.E. Foundation houses over two hundred rescued animals including big cats, black bears, monkeys, birds, crocodiles, various reptiles and assorted wildlife. They provide a variety of educational programs for schools, resorts, local attractions, and general public appearances throughout the community.
The artwork was done by the wonderful
goldendruid who will be in the Dealer's Den at booth 25.

I'll tear my computer apart when I get home from work at like 5:30 and see where that file went! I'm certain I still have it after I moved everything to my new laptop and I THINK I'd at least started this before forgetting entirely! I'm so sorry Vixyy! A cruise themed story!
So its really happening then, August couldn't come soon enough in that case. Its only been two years, but it has seemed an eternity since we last all got together.
I have a feeling the anthology may be quite well-received. Its still hard to believe its all finished and I second Kiyo's point of remembering to bring a sharpie along.

Yeah. The con I'd be most likely to attend would be Furry Fiesta in Dallas, TX, but I'd have to be driven across Tarrant County and Arlington's traffic is horrendous. If there were one in Fort Worth, I'd probably go, but it does depend on which part of town. North Fort Worth would be a deal-breaker due to I-35, though we could take the streets and backroads. (Unfortunately, that's where they have the LEGO Store.) Heck, if they restore the Baker Hotel in Mineral Wells and one is hosted there, I'd be down for that, but that's still a bit of a commute compared to the Will Rogers Convention Center (which admittedly is a bit small) or the Omni Hotel. Just putting some potential locations out there, y'know?
The last (and first) con I attended was ComicCon, also in Orlando. First thing in the door, Mom and I met a Christian writer who sold us a signed copy of his book, The Crimson Knight. It's on the bookshelf behind me.
