I'm not entirely sure how to take this statement. Nuggets are so wildly different based on where you go, that I feel it's really hard to make a definitive statement like this. I've had nuggets of all levels of reconstitution (from meat gel to straight up unaltered slices of chicken) and breadings (tempura style, breadcrumbs, fried chicken style) with different seasonings even. Perhaps the quality of nuggets is entirely different in Sweden?

In Canada, it's more akin to the American fried chicken, which uses corn starch. However, I always was curious to notice the difference between fried chicken done in my local country VS a karaage (Japanese fried chicken)

American fried chicken traditionally uses flour. I've never experienced fried chicken with cornstarch, however McDonalds uses it for their nuggets. Karaage on the other hand, does use potato starch which is similar.

That reminds me of the (now discontinued ) KFC Twister! It was two boneless extra crispy chicken strips wrapped in a flour tortilla with lettuce, tomato, onion and a spicy southwest ranch sauce. I miss the Twister SO much!

honestly i pass out in the car too, something about the drone of the engine, and doubly so if the car is a bit too warm... i think it's a defense mechanism cause i used to get really carsick as a kid.

to be honest sweetie something about the movement in cars makes babies (aka also you) fall asleep. when my nephews or niece wouldn't fall asleep when I was babysitting them I would put them in the car and take a 20 min drive and boom out for the night. carry them in and tuck them in and good for the night. except for diaper changes and bottling feeding (aka like you) ;)

She thought she was going home (meaning her home, with Ellie) and they stopped for food (she agreed to that too) and they talked while she slept about taking her home for an uninterrupted discussion of what they wanted. I might be misreading this, but it seems like they were both hurt three years ago, and they're now ready to try again with a new baby girl.

I am sure I'm not alone in wanting to see Kim and Martin's desires for a baby match up to Star's dreams of a Mummy and a Daddy to indulge her and accept her.

Why do I now picture Elly standing just inside the door when Star gets home, giving her the "dead by the side of the road" speech, and then spanking her bottom till Star is crying like the baby we know her to be?

No, I know that won't happen.

I do think it'd be very cool, even fandabidozi, if this was somehow made known to Elly and Star was still respected as an adult but occasionally teased by little comments and such, like what Kim and Martin are doing. Ride in the car, adult thing/Comment about a rear facing car seat, very baby thing. Invite her in and offer a beer, adult/then offer a bib, baby, etc. I could see Elly making dinner, then smiling as she decided to cut it into little pieces for Star, or arranging the food to look like a smiley face, or offer her baby silverware. I can't see her changing Star or giving her a bath, but maybe telling her it was nitenite time, or given a rough day, laying her on the couch with her head in Elly's lap for a bottle. Why the world is so closed-minded as a general rule, I'll never know.
