There’s we’re done between 2009-2010 when I was a senior in high school for my AP art concentration. I didn’t get a good score so it didn’t count as any sort of college credit but it was fun to do the class. I chose "Relations" as my concentration thesis with interactions between humans and other snimal species and relations i between. I obviously didn’t draw the map x3;;’ LOL also the bird I got from a lil paleta burrito place in Denver when I went to Denfur before the covid times it was a souvenir I love it very much and it reminds me of the friends I saw and love so much and the good times I had. I put this old stuff up as a reminder that my old self felt excited about art. To Shout Positivity at myself in a way I guess. Like to take inspiration from my old self who pushed 200% to make good art or try new things!!! And it worked really well I took some down but a lot I do like. What’s funny is my teacher was incredibly mean about many of the pieces - she really didn’t like me. That was one start of a problem of self-hating my art but now I love what she hated. She hated how ‘colorful’ the cat picture was. ‘Too many colors’ she said disdainfully before giving me a C! I didn’t particularly care about the grade but the criticism hurt me just because I had had soooo much fun using all the colors in my box to make something that made me happy to look at. So thanks, past me, for making something that I do like to look at, with my fav subjects, and lovely colors. Until I ca n get others art to put on my wall instead!!!
