Female.
Peregrine falcon head.
Gryphons in this universe does not have classic tails, but butt feathers for maneuvering in air, also hindlegs have feathers pointing down(can be tucked along leg when not in flight) for assisted maneuvering. Front legs tend to be held against the chest or belly during flight.
In this universe only female gryphons are ridden by humans, but only the tamer ones. One Matriarch Gryph rules the flock
Red Widow got her nickname, after a Lord purchased then rights to use her in breeding, as she has rare colorations with the blue along wings and her sides, but she ended up killing every single fashion bred gryphon that Lord had, killed the Lord, left the lords wife and children alone.
She loves being scratched behind her ears, but she refuses to acknowledge it while in public.
she's aggressive, intelligent, independent but fiercely loyal if a rider proves their worth.

Doesn't have a solid canon height, so at the moment artists draw her the height they think looks good and fits other characters if she's drawn with others.
But considering she will be ridden into battle, she is quite large, i am thinking a human head would reach approximately her shoulder/neck. like a very large horse.
