I started this as an epic awesome idea for a character redesign. I then decided to post it as an example of the utter shite that falls out of my pencil (it took four tries to get the eyes symmetrical, and they were still too small).
Then it turns out I've gotten pretty decent at salvaging pencil roughs. The proportions were meant to be realistic, not chibi, but I only had so much paper to work with, and hey, it works. I figure that by 2040, I'd be getting over the kinky BDSM phase, and would be moving on to more productive preoccupations.
It is really fucking hard to draw convincing cyborgs when they don't go in for prosthetic limbs, cyber-chainsaws, and LaForge visors. Maybe I'll go into the details for what all he has stashed in or on his person at some point. What you can see here, is some form of USB plug under his jawbone connected to a internet tablet*, a "tattooed" on wristwatch
*I love the lines of the Nokia 770. Let's pretend this one is designed with USB On-The-Go (specifically, the "Embedded Host" specification added in May 2009) for cyborgs, a modern processor, a shitload of radios, and terabytes of phase-change crystilline memory ("C-RAM") storage.
