Funny enough, the hook on his wrist could actually be seen in the last page, but seems the blinding light made nobody realize it, guess the heroes weren't the only ones blinded by the light XD
It seems even though Geoffrey was ready for his story to end, the DL memeber that followed them after the Bunnie operation saved him... and it was Hershey all along! I still find it funny how as soon as a DL member with cat ears showed up, people guessed it was her XD Also gotta love the anime "costume reveal" where simply throwing off her cloak completely changes the outfit.
With Naugus taken care of though, what will Sonic the Hedgehog and Princess Sally Acorn do about the lack of leadership, and her imprisoned father? Tune in next time to find out!

Well Sally is the hero, so most likely yes she will suffer for his happy ending. Despite some liking him at his core Geoffrey is douche, he was created by Penders for a douche reason, to humiliate Sonic and throw a wrench into Sonic and Sally's romance. Even a writer determined to not write him as a tool can only redeem him so much. He's like Draco Malfoy, deep down he's a jerk. Jerk characters a useful, and they feel all the same emotions everyone else does. If evil characters can love, simply unpleasant ones can too. Feel like I am over explaining it,but basically Hersey deserves the happy ending Geoffrey is lucky she loves him.
He was created to be an antagonist to Sonic and the 100% fabricated "disciple of Naugus" backstory was fairly dumb, but I'd argue Hershey helped turn him into a better, good man, with them having a rather good and healthy relationship.
Suppose it makes sense Geoffrey would break or revert when his source of good supposedly died mysteriously.

But what is with this story and subverting cyborgs and roboticization?
First Sally wasn't really roboticized. Then Bunny wasn't fully converted as it first seemed. Then Hershey reveals it's costume props.

Glad to see her back. Hershey was always the big redeemer for St.John. I saw what you said about Geoffrey's connection to Naugus but I think in a way it actually redeemed him. Before that he was just an arrogant tool who seemed to just show up, make Sonic look like a punk, make out with Sally, offer some small bit of help that any one of the Freedom Fighters could have done, and leave once the issue was thoroughly ruined. But adding that he had been a child duped by Naugus explained a lot. It explained why he seemed to undermine the monarchy and the Freedom Fighters as much as help them. He was walking a balance between keeping the kingdom whole enough for Naugus while still keeping things dangerously close to collapse so his master could swoop in and fix the problems. He led his life believing the old king had betrayed his father by granting mercy to Julian and allowing him a position as War Minister. Naugus promised him he would do better if he had the throne and Geoffrey believed him. Before that addition he was as bad as that prince from the old Star Wars book "The Courtship of Princess Leia." The guy comes out of nowhere, was noble born, had his eyes on Leia, and did everything Han Solo did but better.
But one quick question. In the frame where Hershey is blushing she is holding something she wasn't before and it seems to disappear after that. What is that?
