(Originally From Reddit) Hello there fellow fluffbutts! I'm Wispi, and here I have to show you today is something I've been working on for quite a while, but could only ever get so far with my atrocious drawing skills and inability to decide a well thought-out, yet simple design for a species I wanted to make. Now firstly, I'd like to give a special thank you to the artist, HollowCafe, who helped draw my character (Irmo) as an example for what the species looks like in general (their link will be down below at the end).

Now, where to start first...? Ah, a brief description of what Metrios look like! Well, Metrios are bipedal creatures with an eagle-like beak, 2-4 fangs, and a long forked tongue. They also have rectangular-shaped eyes and eyebrows with no visible pupils and rhombus-like ears. These creatures are also seen with floofy (sometimes even spiky) manes and tufts of fur on their arms and legs. They also have rectangular-shaped scutes on their backs which can range from many different sizes and numbers. One of their most notable features, however, is the blade-like bones that protrude from their arms. These blades are often referred to as "E-blades" but may also be called "Scylasses". One last detail that I'd like to mention is their tail tips. Metrios have a very... strange tail tip that isn't fully understood. They have block-like tail tips that is supposedly carved and molded from their bones, much like their E-blades. Their tail tip has no fur and is as smooth as polished obsidian stone. There also doesn't seem anyway to break them once the Metrio is fully developed. Anyways, since I don't want this to take up the entire post, I'll make a separate post sometime this weekend to explain the certain requirements and features of this species! For now though, let's move onto their habitat!

Metrios live on a small Island called Isha. Isha isn't too far away from the continent of North America and is located about Southeast away from it. And while Isha is surrounded by lush greens, and forests, located at its center is a semi-arid desert called Cipek. Cipek is where the Metrio species (mostly) resides in as the easy access to sunlight enhances their ability to work. And despite their seemingly thick fur, it proves to be more of a help to them in the sun as their fur protects and hides their skin from the harsh sunlight. Isha isn't too difficult to visit, in fact, many come to visit. But due to the harshness of Cipek's hot temperatures (especially during summer) and its surrounding forest, not many can stay for long. Now, onto the abilities!

Metrios don't have any elemental abilities, 'per se, but they are able to gather sunlight and convert it into energy using their energy sacks. Energy sacks are usually the circles located on a Metrio's arms, legs, or tail, and will bloat out when enough sunlight is absorbed. But not only are the energy sacks used for enhancing their work performance, but they can also be used for fighting/defending. When attacking, Metrios are capable of sending radiation waves from their sacks to burn or incapacitate an enemy, and when defending they can use their sacks to make a blinding light that disorients an enemy's senses. Though, using these abilities come with certain risks as Metrios have a limit to how much sunlight is stored at a time and using their abilities beyond their limit can injure them badly or even cause death.

Anyways, that's all for this post! For now, this species is closed, but do not fret! I plan to make a post opening the species along with the requirements between tomorrow and next week, so keep watch!
