After going for a walk across Emerald Coast with Kasi one evening, Shadow notices that the little hedgehoglet was getting sleepy and decided to head back to his and Sonic's apartment.

Since the first night that Sonic and Shadow had become parents, both hedgehogs felt a strong connection to the baby and ensured to protect him at all costs. Shadow, in particular, wanted to be a father-like figure for the infant, whereas Sonic is seen as more of the motherly type~
