Bizarre creatures that look like an amalgamation of deer and monster parts; there have been very few records of encounters with these creatures, leading many to believe they don’t even exist.
Many legends circulate about these creatures, and it is from these where they began to be regarded as “Penitence”. Old stories say that these creatures spend most of their time in a phantasmal form, stalking those who are harbored by intense feelings of guilt and regret over past transgressions, all the while slowly draining the life out of them.
Whether these stories are true or not though, is entirely up to you.
