Chibi Corgi and Friend
I'm uploading some my previous work to share. Old work, like back from 2007.
This was an original watercolor that I once placed up in art shows at a few conventions. The original has long since been sold, but I managed to remember to get a good scan before letting go of the original piece.
A little chibi-fied corgi and his bluebird friend enjoy each other's company. I draw a LOT of corgis, especially little happy chibi ones. Not that one can make a corgi much more chibi then they actually are....

Ah, good point! Add in to that speed the fact that they're built like furry bricks (if they're fit), and there you go. My old corgi kept herself relatively fit by chasing just about anything she (safely) could, and she had a LOT more mass than someone unfamiliar with corgis would expect.
Mine was more of a people-herder. One of her favorite ideas of play was chasing after someone and "herding" them with head-bumps (we trained her out of nipping at heels). Her other favorite was Keep Away, wherein she stayed just out of reach, darting away when someone thought they had her. That last one usually happened when she managed to get out of the yard without her leash. We eventually found out that the fastest way to get her to behave was to sit down so she knew the game was over. Milk Bone treats didn't hurt, either.
Eep! The "hit by a car" thing was what we were really afraid might happen a couple of times, but we never even had a close call. I don't think she ever quite outgrew it, but she gave up on it a bit more quickly in favor of a good scratching and some belly-rubs.
Now that I think back on it, Cuddles was smarter than we gave her credit for. Most of the time we got distracted by her "Odie" personality, but once she got past the clumsy puppy stage she was surprisingly good at seeming ditzy and playful while still avoiding situations that could get her hurt. Such a cool little critter, but time caught up eventually.
