Another weapon, this was meant to be an evil counterpart to Ascalon, though I'm not sure if it'll ever actually come up.
"Balmung's history has long been bathed in blood, this wicked sword was forged in a demonic forge, out of Adamantine, and empowered by the demon lords themselves. Despite the fact that this weapon was powerful beyond belief, it caused whomever to wield it to become insane, attacking friend and foe alike. This sword originally was wielded by the king Percival “the mad” Elias III, with which he fought every war of his kingdom alone, whilst wielding the fabled sword, until he was killed by an arrow that pierced his heart. But when his heir, prince Terrance “the loon” Elias IV inherited the sword, in his cursed fury, he killed every man, woman and child of his kingdom, embarking on a destructive rampage which resulted in the death of every living creature near the kingdom. During the rest of Terrance's life, the blade has met naught but the flesh of the innocent, and before his death, he had slain several dragons, and rampaged through several dragon's nests, the insane king relishing in the devastation he caused. And since his death, the sword Balmung has disappeared and was never again seen."
And jeeze, this design might be a little over the top.
