I was like who's Coolbunny? I went to his page and recognized the artwork. He was published quite a few times in Furlough.

As a lad, I thought it was "Bella and Ursula".

But then I thought it was "Sweet Polly Pure Bread", which I figured was something like Wonder Bread. :-D

I was an imaginative lad. :D

George of the Jungle was one of my top 3 favorite cartoons during the mid-60s. It was so irreverent that I couldn't help but be enamored by it. Unfortunately, I was too young back then to fully appreciate Ursula.

"What wrong, Commissioner?"

"These ruffians have stolen our treasure map, George!"

(beat)

"Are you guys really from Ruffia?"

Yeah. That's the kind of humor I remember. Another good example. The show is beginning and we see George standing on a tree limb with his hand over his eyes and looking around. The announcer says something like, "George of the Jungle watching over his jungle umpire."
George, "That empire."
Announcer, "Oops. Sorry."
Later in the show, George gets knocked out and the bad guys say, "He's out; we're safe."
George opens his eyes, breaks the fourth wall, and says, "That jungle umpire."

George of the Jungle may have been one of the major factors in creating my weird sense of humor. (Not to mention my love of puns. (You just mentioned it.) Oops.)
