I made a steampunk Locket many years ago and it's been long since at its new home, but I find myself looking at photos of my older works and wanted to remake them better. So here is a second version of a Steampunk Locket!
Pony base is a engineered pose from 2 different generation 3 ponies, wings are from a gen 4 princess. Eyes got hollowed out, insetted with gems which are held in place with sugru moldable glue.
Entire base coated in white gesso primer, full body repaint job in a neutral pink acrylics. Eyes painted in my own self taught style, all paint work sealed in Testors spray sealant.
Cutiemark is Locket's keys, but painted actual keys.
Mane and tail are rooted in nylon hair in dollyhair's white witch, peaches & cream and luscious lilac. Pink stripe is Shimmerlocks cotton candy. Mane is permanently styled in hair gel method and curlers.
Textile accessories are handsewn in various trims, laces and ribbons. Cogs and rhinestones added to finish off the look.
