The Snowfang clan of gnolls lives a peaceful existence on the icy continent of Velious, more than happy to keep to themselves and to be away from the more 'mainland' threats and squabbles from the rest of Norrath. However Norrath is like any other planet adrift in the cosmos- always full of change. Even generations of peace and stability can be shattered by one event, and such an event was the surge of the Direwind clan upon the northern reaches of the continent on Antonica. With the world in utter turmoil, and with the Snowfang being so brutally betrayed by Nerek Gashclaw, the Snowfang themselves find their once-tranquil and peaceful lifestyle reaching its end. Ligir Bloodpaw tries to keep order and stability of the clan through peace and wisdom, Lilza tires of such lies, taking a more active, aggressive, and direct approach to the outside problems bordering Snowfang territory. Convinced that Nerek will soon return to Velious to conquer the icy continent, Lilza desperately tries to organize an active military of the various Snowfang villages, suiting them up for the inevitable war she feels is coming. The Snowfang clan are not a naturally war-ready or militaristic clan, and Ligir fears what Lilza is doing will only speed up the doom their clan faces should Nerek return to make good on his promise to destroy them all. Whatever the case may be, Lilza refuses to go down without a fight, no matter what she is put up against.
