Persistence of Loss by NiN was playing when I opened this.. I felt inspired

For the record I tossed rhyming out the window.. its rough and I might re-do it to "rhyme" later... maybe. Also excuse the spelling errors :p

All the dye in the world will eventually rinse out.
All the water in the world will eventually cleanse.

These shades of red tone the scars below.
A tone streaks the compose applied.
The tinge of blue washes a penumbra through.

Hidden beneath the surface lies Lust to Carnelian, flowing with importance of life,
Pierced or Cut Crimson and Maroon will swell and spread to escape.
Licking down the body and pooling under foot as a coiled serpent,
Even though free they may be, Rosewood they will soon become.

Slashes of Magenta, Mauve, and Cerise are used to conceal,
A brush of Sapphire and Cyan highlights intentions,
Deeds smear and streak to Cerulean, Midnight, Rust and Sangria.
Even though free they may be, Shadowed they are.

Palatinate blue cascades translucent through as the cover is rinsed away,
Scarlet drains down to reveal the wounds both old and new,
The gentle wash of unemotional fluid over the body provides support and cares not.
Emotion circles the drain at the close of the day.

All the water in the world will eventually cleanse.
