A Semi-late upload for Shark Week 2021! An Awesome Commission by Sergeant16bit in which both me and him thought it was awesome to do! :D
Ember was just gripping the potion tightly around with her claw, staring at the ocean intensely now with contemplating thoughts running through her slitted eyes. Did she really want to do this? Explore the ocean which was basically the opposite of what she had experienced much before as a hatchling to where she was now? But giving a sigh of and a shrug, she would dive into the water, claws clapped together and arms above her head as she shot down like a draconian bullet! Making quite a splash for her size as a soon to be ex-dragon!
Ascending upward after that, she would uncork the potion which had the Sharkifying essence inside, letting the cork just sink down to the bottom as quickly...she would guzzle down a portion of the forest-green liquid! Tasting like it had a sea-foody taste to it along with it tasting also like red melon juice. Quite a strange concoction of tastes for sure. But the main show of the effects was soon to come to her sleek fighting body almost in an instant!
First. Her legs began to feel tingly, then numb now as without her input of her nervous system they were forced together, not being able to be separated like a compressed sandwich! Which made her gasp now that she could not paddle anymore above the water and her wings were already submerged to flap away out of the blue! But as her tail was already beginning to be squashed together against his body's wishes to join in the conglomerate, she felt an itching and roughness around her neck, craning a claw over to scratch it...then she realized that she was breathing underwater just fine! Must have been the magic! Just to realize that the new lines on the sides of her now swelling neck were sets of gills to allow her to breathe! Which, in a bit of a deadpanned way made her shrug as she rolled over to look at her changing form.
The legs and her tail, had now began to assimilate together, bones painlessly reshaping and melting together along with her underbelly to form a singular, sleek powerful tail to replace the said digitigrade legs. The dark blue diamond shaped tip of it however, would split apart, elongated and reshaping into curved, shark-ish fins that would twist until they were now vertically positioned proper, now making up a themed-after-her caudal fin! Her feet however would be repurposed as well, shrinking and being streamlines with toes being erased away to make smaller fins just making about two thirds away from her body.
With her neck beginning to enlargen, almost beginning to merge with her shoulders and cheek bones her underbelly scutes were beginning to travel straight up to her lower jaw, in a flash now with the gills becoming larger and larger...to fit the new bulk which was making her grunt and groan from the reworking of her body. As that happened, her wings were beginning to be smashed together, molding as the bases of them began to converge into a singular entity, along with the arms, membrane...they would all be merged and reshaped, becoming more like a Wing-shaped shark's dorsal fin which was now the final result! With the arm now curved along with the membrane now shaped like a fin, her once useless-in-water wings were now a useful part to stabilize her in the ocean.
Her body in general was losing it's hourglass figure with the scales becoming more like cyan and blue rough sandpaper found on most sharks in the water, becoming bulkier and rounded like a barrel with her organs being remolded and repurposed for the ocean, skeleton beginning to become that of cartilage too, with some features still retained unlike a normal shark for safety reasons. As that happened and all. Diamond shaped stripes began to dot her sides in a row on each side, which looked like those made for Tiger sharks...but that would not be the species she was based on though! As for magical safety, a swim bladder was also formed, so that she didn't have to keep swimming to breathe for a good reason.
While her head was beginning to become neckless which snapped her head back a bit. Her arms were beginning to shrivel and compress, losing length and dexterity with the loss of her fingers which were being smoothened out and erased with the power of assimilation, but becoming wider and flatter as a response. Purple streaks lined them horizontally now as they now made their places as her new Side fins, to stabilize herself and help her swimming much like her other fins and all.
Finally, her head was the last to change, as she looked down at her newly sharked body with amazement and shock with her still flexible neck. Her once long thin muzzle was beginning to broaden and bulk out, becoming more broader and blunter much like a proper sharks with the nostrils spacing apart along with her eyes being moved over to the side, her curved horns still being retained to still have some of her form still be integrated into this new body. Her dark blue 'quills' on her head would all begin to harden and flatten, merging all together to form a singular, large fin straight above her head to look like a bunch of waves or dorsal fins stuck together, which was a perfect combination of the Sharkiness and her original form perfectly to balance them out! As thus her eyes became even more slitted with the eyelashes and brows still attached, and eyelids too unlike regular ol' sharks for reasons similar to the gills. as her neck and head were fully accustomed to the now barrel-shaped streamlined aquatic body she now fully inhabited...
With her already sharp teeth becoming longer and thinner, some new teeth growing in place and new rows too, both front and back like a sharks...perfect for the feel...as now with her transformation complete...Ember the once-Dragoness was now a Draconic Mako Shark of herself!
Looking at herself with amazement and pride, grinning her newly multi-rowed teeth at how her body felt so agile yet powerful. Doing a bit of testing by swimming around in circles and loops and kicking a few times and test biting, making sure her retained tongue wouldn't be in the way of that. (She can still talk of course.) She thought of coming over to Seaquestria, to see what she could show the Seaponies her new form off to show-off to them and possibly Spike the Pufferfish! But along the way she would think to have a bit of fun while she was at it...with eyes and body now adjusted...she begins to swim around the ocean, looking for landmarks while the potion begins to pour its contents for others to get Sharkified. It was time for the hunt to begin for some tasty fish! Not friends and all!
