To cap off this memorable NHL season, here's another original cartoon from Littleyoungone from Deviantart. The horses represent the unbreakable spirit and unceasing work ethic of the Canadiens, particularly their top 4 defensemen, who were dubbed the "Four Clydesdales" by broadcasters. Marie-Claire St-Laurent (the young girl) shows the disappointment of Canadians everywhere with the final result, but also our gratitude for their efforts. Alain (the husky dad) just looks to be having a giddy fanboy moment.

it was a good run for the canadiens. their stunning 2 straight OT wins while facing elimination will leave an everlasting blemish on the maple leafs playoffs history. they also swept a very good jets team and beat a favored las vegas. sadly though, they just didn't have the fire power to beat tampa bay. that series literally was carey price vs. the Tampa Bay lightning.
Yeah, they just didn't get a consistent gameplan going against the Lightning like they did in the other series.
