Philomela Sitting - By Lenika

Something that looks like inspired by the great inventors of the past and matematical dreams of curves.
And flowers.
And... well... idealized nature as the building blocks for structures and buildings
There just is something appealing about recreating nature via clockwork.
And nightingales have always sounded like a rickety clockwork machine getting cranked, which is why they are often used for decorating clockwork machines.
Here i just wanted something beautiful and fantastic, that was pleasant looking and made me think idly.

Ah yes...
For what has been a couple years now, I find myself able to dream deeply, as often as not. Able to "lucid dream" quite frequently...
The colors within those dreams are.. .actually very similar to these ones here... indigo tones, lit with occasional bursts of vividity, as though lit with golden light...
And wild architecture that I've never wandered through in real life...
Is it any wonder why we think it's a hidden realm in and of itself...?
Of course, Neil Degras Tyson says that "It is a fifty/fifty percent chance: Either we are in a simulation right now, living life... Or we are on the way towards a simulation."
So is it really all that harsh to think of the dream as valid as the reality, even if reality seems ever more powerful and restrictive...?
Alas, I can dream, and wander through worlds like this...
And yet I am unable to paint like the artist who did this... unable to offer a true visual representation of what I've witnessed...
Old friends and family, living and dead... my dearest creature, the white, feathery dragon flammie... wild caravans through vast cityscapes... Suddenly being transformed into the physical form of a twin sister to an anthro aquatic dragoness, more goddess than serpent, all so that I could be her mirrored counterpart in a dance for an audience including my deceased, best childhood friend...
And then settling into the seating next to them, and the dragoness, and talking, light and playful to one another, as we watched the next act together...
That I could share with others the vividity that I experienced...
Hopefully one day, my skill will be up to par for such things.
In the meantime, I find a gentle kinship with Philomela, as though she were settled within one of my own dreams, her spirit unsuited to spending long durations in the harsh rules of reality...
May we perhaps meet there, one day...
And of course, may you be free to meet and enjoy the company of your adored creations, as well. <3
What a delightful piece to find myself growing drowsy too... I think I shall enjoy a nap, now...<3

it is actually quite easy to check if you are living in a simulation or in the real world. The farther you move away from the main point of reference of the simulation the less precise the data about your position can become so the existence itself becomes more and more "grossly defined" because the coordinates can be less and less precise the more you travel away from the center.
Given the level of precision of our current tests and how and the fact that probes and whatnot did not "pixelate" into a shapeless mess unable to function even when they reached the oort cloud, it is safe to say that the world we live in is not a simulation, or if it is, it is able to simulate electronics at such a distance that it might as well be useless to contemplate if this is a simulation or not.
Obviously you could be the only person that actually exist so the point of reference of the whole universe is you and and everything else is only grossly simulated and becomes more and more grossly simulated the farther away they are from you. But then again that would be a rather selfish and aggrandizing thought.
Anyway, thank you for the thoughts...
...and why did you not take the nap after saying you would? 🤣👍💖

A little side note too, to perhaps become excited about~!
They are becoming able to see "pictures" of what people are thinking lately, though the image resolution is very blurry...
Whose to say how that resolution might improve in a decade or two...?
And, indeed... what if the technology used to spot these thoughts, could also capture an image of one's dream-space?
Mankind may struggle with it's cultural and societal improvements, but I have little doubt that technology will continue to improve, and we just might get to see some very profound things, before our time here is used up... :3c

eh. i just hope it gets used for silly/happy stuff like the stuff you portray rather than what the corporations are doing right now, that is...
...litterally making us check out phones every 3 seconds for the friends we have online rather than the friends we have around us, while manipulating what we can or should hear from the people online.

Kissing is something i never understood how it could be performed by people with a snout, at most it could be a "nose lick/blep"
However, the moments beaks are involved that goes out of the window, since in that gase the nose is not in front and also the tongue is usually not that long.
Moreover Philomela interacts mainly with humans, and she has no tongue.
So i guess the most apt kissing equivalent is her third eye (one of the many "baseline radiation calibrator"s AKA "light level sensor" she has on her body) touching the forehead of somebody else.
as for the hugging, she does it like a normal human being would, she just happens to have a hard shell so it probably is not as nice.
