The poppy usually conjures up images of Remembrance day and Flanders fields (maybe poppy seeds bread...and sometimes opium Snowy!) but I couldn't find a suitable image in mind that's not been done before. I was thinking of drawing the white poppy to symbolize peace and the hope for no more wars, but that in itself gets lumbered with controversy.

So I did the Pokémon Flabébé with their chosen flower being a poppy. The Pokémon world mentions wars, so maybe it wouldn't be farfetched (ha!) for this creature, and it's flower to reference remembrance of their own war dead. Flabébé is not a Pokémon I usually use or draw, so it made for a difference.

But for now it's just a cute creature image with a pretty flower.
