And yes, I am somewhat in the same boat with you on that - there are particular forms I like when people do some OCs though, to make it look like it fits. If it STILL looks like armor and fits with the character, perhaps, though for me most of my OCs have the general armor plating look so, lol. But i'm not going to go blurgh all over others...unless they are wearing some weird clothes. I think the only bot that gets away with that is Nightbeat with his trenchcoat in the old Marvel comics. It's just...way too funny and cool at the same time to see a bot in a Duster and Detective Hat, LOL.

I have seen that comic somewhere! Gosh it make me LAWL when i first saw it. But it kinda suits nightbeat, hes just that kinda bot i would say. I could be a bit biased though cause my OC's have plating (if i actually ever get round to drawing their frame, headshots FTW...)

She is lovely, l-o-v-e-l-y I say. Her personality just jumps out at you like there is no escaping it.
Her open optic and the shine is what caught my eye almost instantly; well done! A great surprise, you can't believe how happy he was when he saw it XD and you gave shape to Zen, not to mention color.

so, here goes. first note will be; if i say ANYTHING and i do mean ANYTHING that even sounds remotely negative or unappreciative, i DO NOT mean it that way. there is nothing in me that does not love you and this and that for what you have just done for me.

second up, the surprise. wow. TEH surprise. it doesn't matter if it was late or whatever, it's still an awesome birthday gift and i didn't even think i'd be getting anything at all from anyone besides Lynxia.
(sure, i got a set of lamps... but... hey, GROWN-UP stuff, bleh!)
sure caught me totally unaware there, even if i was glaring at Lynxia's screen and she had to beat me off telling me there was a surprise coming. didn't expect... well, anything. i try my best not to expect things, thus avoiding the most manners of disappointment.

now, *Ahem*, on to the pic, shall we?
the first assessment of colour wasn't bad, but i am glad i got a chance to butt in and MAKE IT EYE-BLINDINGLY GIRLY. i mean... pink.
first when i saw this finished version, i almost fell out of my chair blinded, but now when i look at it, i simply melt out of my chair, eyes fairly intact. it does look good, she does look good. very warm, welcoming, cute. just as it is supposed to be.

i like what you did with putting your personal touch to the design, she isn't entirely set in stone and i am sure you just helped along a bit with making her progress.
those things on her back for example, what the hell are they? you couldn't know, they are simply the round button-thing around the "play" button on the ZEN-stone, put on her back to look more kimono-like.
here they look more like THE INNER WORKINGS OF A BASS UNIT. which is pure awesome. she could be blasting ALOT OF SOUND with her BODY.
uh.. or something.
i like it how sleek and sexy you made her, even without rounded OMFG BOOBS. plus the shine, does add alot to the fact that i wanna hump the screen just looking at her.
her hands are absolutely beautiful and her legs and feet are nice. the metal, yet seemingly "cloth"-like skirt is awesome too, especially as you kept the little lines of "where it could part"... the "clip" or whatever.

generally, i could go blahblahs FOREVER And keep noting something for every little detail, but i'm not going to.

And LOL, yes...oh god, the eye-blindingly GIRLY. I will admit I liked the first colors, but I guess with me when I set down a scheme it gets locked in my head, for a bit when I was first messing with her colors it was a bit hard because I couldn't get it out of my head, BUT when I finally started getting the shades and changing the hues some and adding bits and pieces here and there, she finally started to reveal herself, and thus, I was happy with the results...even with the craziness that is insane pink. LOL

As for the design, I really had to add something to her head, I guess it was too plain for me, I was afraid I might go to far, but i'm glad you all like it. I guess i'm too used to TFs having designs or the generalized helmets that the front of her head needed some kind of something. As I said before, I thought the things on her back were like bigger headphones or something, LOL - but the bass unit is way better...now I can see her blasting music all over the place, kinda like Jazz, but probably something really obnoxiously bubbly to go with her personality. Crazy techno! Watch the Decepticons go bonkers at the noise! We all know they like metal music, it would literally make them weep. Or enrage!

And so sorry on the boobs missing! Really though, you can just pretend that part comes off, LOL. I tried to play it off that it in fact looks the part to be able too, so, you can get your robo-booby ideas on with that one! XD And her hands, well, the one drove me nuts, the reaching 'V' one. Glad it came out all right, i'm all ways so picky about hands, lol. The skirt as well, with that pose I wanted to make it seem, I guess believable for her jumping- when she isn't hoping around, probably just links back together...oh the fan service though, really.

And it's all right again on the pink, I am just over joyed you like her! The both of ya!

Now back to primming up Missy Ravenwing...blarghs! XD

and it's totally cool that you added detail and picked at the design itself, she does/did need some detail and personal tweaks are always nice, at least when they come from reasonable, upstanding fan-freaks like yourself.

Well, i'm gonna try really hard here not to sound like a total durpy squealing fangirl, but seeing your comment about it considering you are one of my big TF/coloring inspirational artists (my somewhat lurky DA hawking, I all ways get OHYAY when I see you post work there, lol), that really REALLY makes me happy to see! Gives me more confidence, that is for sure, like you wouldn't believe! :)

I'm more or less still testing and messing with things - but the trial and error is working for the most part! Hehehe. If I can just get the method to my madness down instead of it running amuck when I start rendering things, i'll be in the clear!

And how Blackheartspiral brings her to life is just pure elegance. =) One of these days Blackheartspiral i going to have to see what you can do with both the techno-organic and pure machine versions of stormtiger, cause you just make every character you draw look like they could jump off the page. =)

She was interesting to work with that is for sure, i'm so used to either doodling up canon characters or my own OCs or others that are mostly with your general armor look, then something as, well, this character with her alt mode. She was fun though, can never have enough femmebots! There is so FEW. ARGH.

And haha, I have only attempted one beast wars type character long ago, though i'm sure it wouldn't be too hard - i've got way too much on my plate as it is currently though, if I ever do commissions, perhaps that could be arranged.
