Well it's been a good long while since I've done anything with my Gunpowder Falls Railroad. Especially with the locomotives. And with this one in particular. I've had this engine on my "To-Do" list for quite sometime, so I figured I'd knock it out last night.
This is one of my favorite engines I have ever drawn and one of the most detailed. The engine was inspired by the famed "C-16" class locomotives used by the narrow gauge Denver & Rio Grande Railroad (later becomeing the Denver & Rio Grande Western) during the 1880s and well into the 1930s. This version is not based on any particular prototype, though most of the insparation came from D&RGW #268 and #223.
A color version is in the works and, with any luck, will be posted soon. I hope you all like it!
