After fiddling with the scanner and plugging it in..., I finally got the picture I've been working on the last few days.
Really need to get better at drawing wings and muzzles.

Its a good start. Try using the "circle" method. Sketch a lot where things would go, then draw over it. The muzzle is a bit off, the rest of him is facing head on, so the muzzle should as well. If you want his head turned a bit, remember to turn everything, not just the muzzle. the eyes as well.
Hi, I came over from I love critique.
You seem to be fairly early on in your learning. I think you might be tackling it a little fast, though it is good that you're drawing full figures and showing hands and feet (many people hide hands and feet).
I'd suggest perhaps picking up say a box, setting it on your desk and drawing it in perspective, rendering 3D objects will help you construct a better muzzle.
You might also want to pick yourself up an artist's model figure and do sketches from that learning how a 3D figure can be rendered into a 2D image. Your current problem is that your sketch is very flat, you will need to get used to thinking of a drawing as a 3D object on a 2D material.
As for wings, try studying bats and other animals with similar wings, understanding the structure of how they fly, fold their wings and generally how their wings work will help you construct better wings.
I hope you find my suggestions to be useful.
Echoing what was said above, the best way to learn to draw is to draw from life. So get out there and draw people! Quick gestures at first - don't worry about drawing a "full" person.
A gesture, in case you don't know, is a basic image made of shapes and lines. This site has a pretty good tutorial http://www.learn-to-draw-lessons.co.....e-drawing.html
Also, study the underlying structure (the skeleton, muscles) of people and animals so that you truly understand the anatomy. It's helped me a lot!
Keep at it, and try to draw something every day. You'll soon find yourself improving.

Hm, perhaps add on the Graph method, a quick way to get some help with getting those lines a little bit straighter.
Using a very small level of graphite and a ruler to make some straight lines to follow, to help get those eyes level and what ever else you want evened out, otherwise I don't see anything left that someone else has not mentioned.
