You can't escape that voice inside your head
When I released the new version of Rhody, the original plan was to release the new look alongside a follow-up piece to show this snek coiled up around him. With the idea being that while he's recovered externally from the events of the pandemic he now has this mental snek that coheres him into inactivity.
You may remember this snek from this piece, well, the voice only got louder, and 2021's turning out to be a realization of the damage .3. of course, the snek is an analogy for depression and anxiety, and the inescapable feeling of it sometimes, but it's less stressful to think of it as a snake, an entity that isn't as abstract as mental problems.
In any case, I've been wanting to get this out for a good couple of months, having tried 4 times now to create this piece, and going through drastic changes in each iteration, but I'm glad it's finished o3o
Maybe if I push hard enough I can free myself from his grip just long enough to finish the 7 or so pieces I have sitting around in limbo, waiting to be finished.

Oh dear ,w, and here I was hoping it didn't, but it's something I see a lot, and it's always passed off as a joke from some artists that they start stuff but never finish them, turns out it's not a joke owo I hope your fight with your snek is going better than mine is
And thank you ^^ not my intention to make Rhody cuddly in this one, but I'll take it

I don't think the cuddly part can be helped in your case, sadly, 'tis the default of kitties for me XD
I think the fight is slowly getting better for me, my last 2 posts I started over 2 years ago but finally forced myself to finish.
It's weird, cause I had a harder time with them than just starting a whole new project.

Hehe, fair enough x3 cats are very adorable
That's good to hear, I can relate to the last bit there, as I've found revisiting old sketches, sometimes it's easier to just scrap the thing and start over, especially when your skills have improved, I got a strong sense of that with the second pic I did of Gong, having to navigate the mess of a file, and re-learn how I used to do shading to get it finished
