After a long battle with the tailrod holding Skamper's tail up, I finally have the tail figured out and have it looking much better than how it looked about a year ago today.
It no longer looks flat and stays much closer to my backside than it used to.
The secret? XM antenna wire! It's holding the rod up from the belt and keeping it from falling backwards like it used to. Plus, I reinforced it a couple spots and now it feels much more comfortable than it used too!

I'm not worried about it being stiff. All I need to do is not have it break.
I've also enfoced the cable wire a bit with electrical tape so it doesn't bounce too much and the wire doesn't slide around on the delrin rod. So far, it's holding up good. The big test will be this coming weekend at IFC.
