Here's a commission from 14-bis aka fern.
Well, Peg finally got her wish. She's on "a quite island, no kids, no bug husband to bug her. Just sand, sun, surf, and silence."
And let's face it. With all the stuff she has to put up with, Pete's schemes, her kids (Max included), and Goofy's "goofiness", she deserves a little break.
Now, for a little observation. Don't read if you don't want to think about stuff.
Has anyone noticed that she tolerates Goofy's "goofiness" the most? She never yells at him or gets angry when his actions damage/destroy her property. And she defends him against Pete and his schemes.
There was also an episode where she actually kissed Goofy full on the lips. Now, most women I know don't kiss don't kiss anyone who isn't their husband or family on the lips or anywhere else.
From this, we can assume that there is something more to their relationship than what we've seen. Or maybe Peg just likes to have a friend around. Come to think of it, I don't think we've seen any of her other friends, if she has any.
That may just be it. Because she doesn't have many, if any, friends, she wants to keep the one good one she has close to her.

As for Goofy, he's a fuck-up, but he has a good heart. He never intentionally does anything to hurt anyone.
Also, as for her tolerance of Goofy... remember, in the show, they do mention that they were friends in high school =p
And if you notice, the names of Peg and Pistol are a reference to Pete's other incarnations; Peg Leg Pete and Pistol Pete.
And sometimes i think they did have a secret relationship.
After all. you never see Max's mom and max originnally had
red hair on the old goofy cartoons... makes ya think huh >=3
And Goofy, Jr. had different skin color and no ears in the old cartoons.
You're right, I saw that chapter when she kissed Goofy on the lips. She's a whore
... and, really, I think she just thinks Goofy is misunderstood, and sweet. She puts up with Pete's antics, and even married him, so she must have like a heart of Titanium.
I think she's staying with him for the kids.
And the ones you think aren't threats, usually end up being the biggest threats. Pete would have done something that just pushed Peg past her limits eventually. She already kicked him out of the house before. It's only one more step until she kicks him for good.
And Goofy is better with the kids. So that's going to play on Peg's feelings, too.
