I want to get into drawing robots, but I'm very intimidated, and unsure of how to start, other then go back to the beginning and do
many studies on existing robot designs in media.
I'm welcoming advice or sugesstions in places to look to get help with this. I got my hands on a robot art book but it's all in japanese, so I have to decern from the images on what's going on XD (I've done this before so I will if I have too)

Warframe has a lot of biomechanical stuff in it, with many complex designs; the wiki should have plenty of close ups of ingame stuff. A lot of fan and even concept art of it can also be found on artstation (not to mention that artstation has a surprising amount of robotic art-thats rare in the west!). Pixiv has plenty of cyborg and robotic stuff as well if you go a-digging too, but...japanese heh. Not a lot of western artists do cybernetic/mecha/robotic stuff sadly, and when they do it tends to be bulkier, real-robot stuff.

's stuff (cw: transformations, vore; not all of it, but its present). They do a lot of mecha monsterfolk.
