I FINALLY got a good design for the chassisborn species in my setting!!
They're robot folks with synthetic gel-rubber stuff over their limbs, so they're very soft, and they can swap chassis super easily, making them effectively immortal, I'm gonna try and write up a post or a designsheet going over their lore sometime!
They also have anti-grav tech for some limbs, this one has some floating arms behind them, as well as their head!

That's a good question! They're the most technologically advanced group in my setting, I imagine they could make chassis that could do just that!
For this design at least, the gel is sort of just a protective covering over their actual body, and I don't think it'd be able to independently move like fantasy slime, but I bet it's possible!
