Held onto this pictures since mid-March. Haven't had any decent artwork with the main 'antagonist' of my novel in it, and even so, I wanted to keep it artsy and represent the emotional complexity of Acid Trip and Fatality's relationship. Very close brother and sister, where the corporation favored the brother over the sister as she withered and faded. Eventually her health caused them to drift apart.
Before anyone starts on this, I use 'her' loosely. LGBT for a reason since she's non-binary, and that is the identifier that best suits her. We good? Carrying on. I like making weird romance pictures that aren't actually romance pictures since I don't get to draw moments of silent connection all that much. Drawing wise, pretty straightforward for her. Drawn Fatality a lot. As for Trip... ugh!!! Nothing looked right for hours with this until I finally screwed around with the layers and got the shadows in. Then instantly, perfect. How I art, I don't know. But otherwise, loving the high contrast of this image. Black and white.
