Lucky! My Genesis is .. so dysfunctional. It freezes in a slight breeze. SNES works great, tho!

After all these years my Genesis still works like new. You are lucky to find such a set.

Awesome find! The older systems are not easy to find, I know. It took me a long time to find a Genesis and an NES. But the fact that you found one with the box and everything is truely awesome!

that's awesome! i still have my Genesis but its broken, although i do still have my genesis 3 which still works great, but I've never seen a genesis in such good condition before.

I'd sell it for a nice amount, especially if you've already got a working one plugged in ready to play, or maybe hold onto it for a videogame museum or something.

...I'd probably get the old design though, just for nostalgia's sake.

Where did you come across it? I see old consoles like this ALL the time at flea markets here in SoCal. I've been tempted to buy an SNES but my girlfriend always reminds me she has one packed away somewhere in the garage. xD

I'd hang onto it and use it. I still have my Genesis but can't find the cords to hook it up, however I know it works (or at least it should). Obviously still need games for it to make use, too if you've still got the games somewhere.

I need to grab myself another Model 1 Genesis and a Model 1 to 32X cable. Both my Genesis systems seem to be dead and I cant find the cable I need

nice model 2 there, I got a model 1 hooked up to my TV personally, vintage 1991. I also got a Genmobile a few days ago so I can play my genesis games on the go.

I gave mine away.

Lol, I had the 'Universal Soldier' game. It was a 'Turrican' clone.

I held onto my Gen2 as well as the gen2 CD system. Still works, though haven't played in a while. I've ended up using the patch cable (for the Gen1 console to gen2 CD system) and used it for things like an audio patch for my computer and my XM radio. Though it's starting to show it's age.

I still need to replace my gensis that I lots ages ago. lol. But I'm lucky enough to have an original NES with 40+ games

i see the consoles now and then at the goodwill i browse, this was the first time seen one with the box there.

I more just miss the old games. I used to have quite a large classic collection but due to the exceptionally limited space we had we had to downsize it. I'm still kicking myself for letting my mate talk me into that, since we eneded up moving out several months later into a bigger place.

But i had all sorts of things. Even had a style 2 genesis with the sega CD and the 32x as well as a classic genesis. I even had the Nomad.. .Damn I want one of those back. My collection has partially recovered since then.. NES, SNES, N64, GC, PSX, PS2, original Xbox, and of course the one thing she can never make me get rid of... My Dreamcast. X3 I even have a bunch of older handhelds. an origina Gameboy, a GBC, two of the GBA and the GBASP each. lol. I'm a VG collector. I love my classics, just for the nostalgia. And frankly an emulator just doesnt have that same notstalgic feel of holding the controller in your hand and playing the original game. Even having to blow in a cartridge once in a while is just part of the experience

yeah keep being told to just get an emulator for bunch of the old games and stuff i have, but i prefer playing them on the actual systems a lot more.

I have my first Sega Genesis model 2 that the console is totally epic fail than the Nintendo SNES conaole, and I was being a kid.

You know what's amusing Tiera? The same day I saw you post this, was the same day I took my N64 into a game shop to see if they could repair it. Turns out, the sucker worked great, it just needed a good contact scrubbing. We played on it the same day there in the store, grabbing random N64 games from the shelf. XD
