Like whirling tops made of blades and speed, the Gyroknights are the elite soldiers of the Keskin people, keeping their island safe from invasion and defending the peace in the cities and castles. Kesk is a strict matriarchy; the women there are the ones who run everything, from the government to the guilds, and they're the only ones who get any kind of education. Men are seen as little more than brainless muscle, and trained accordingly; your typical Keskin Gyroknight is illiterate and uncultured, but fights with astonishing speed.

The doodle at the bottom is just to show how their feet fit into the boots; the spikes aren't part of their legs, they're just there to let Gyroknights spin like tops.
