Right. Tuesday has come and the votes were pretty much unanimous on what would happen next: Carbon misses the bus. And so I give you the next image in the series. Before I say anything more about the pic though, first some info on how we're going to do it this time.
While writing down the options last time, I already worried that the first one would 'overpower' the other one, only to see it confirmed within hours. So instead of giving you several options this time, you can offer suggestions on what happens next. If you go completely out of line and suggest things Carbon just wouldn't do, I'll let you know, but other than that feel free to offer suggestions. If you like someone else's suggestion, be sure to say so!
Now... on with the story...
Carbon checked her watch again, sighing softly as the bus was now eight minutes late. Looking down the empty street she pursed her lips, torn between waiting a few minutes more or just giving up and walking instead. It wasn't like she was in a particular hurry, really, and a walk through the park should help get rid of her annoyance at the bus company.
Glancing at her watch once more, she shook her head and shouldered her bag before setting off down the street, not looking back. Taking a left at the second road, she had only taken ten steps when the roar of a bus engine sounded behind her, quickly fading again as it headed in the direction of the busstop. Stopping in her tracks, she pinches the bridge of her nose before sighing deeply, shaking her head as she muttered to herself: "Nope... not going to get annoyed about it..."
Putting the bus well out of mind, she takes a deep breath before continuing on to the park, the two columns at the entrance framing a lovely green, sunny park that beckoned to her. Quickening her pace a little, she walks past the plaque reading "Memorial Park" before pausing, looking around the immense park.
In the distance a pair of canines were throwing a frisbee back and forth, using awfully canine methods of catching it, while a bit closer a man and woman were sitting on a spread out blanket, the woman laughing heartily at something the man said. The path winds to the right, disappearing behind some trees in the direction of a small icecream shop she visited on occassion.
I was going to draw some of what I've written in the image, but then I realised I'd just give some overpowering hints again depending on how I drew each part. As such, I decided against it and instead just gave a brief description of the area before leaving it up to you.
Oh... and before I forget, the deadline is next friday when I get home from work (17:30ish CET)
