Amelia smushed up on my desk, between me and my computer essentially.

Ahhhh. At least she's looking out for you. :3
Mine loves to camp out on the back of my comp chair while I'm on the comp. Then she'll give a nudge rub to the side of my head, a few cutie meows and slowly slinks down onto my lap. She thinks she's being sneaky but I know what she's doing. :3

D'AWWWWW FREAKIN CUTE
haha, excuse me. X)
This one has recently been learning about the back of my compy chair, though I have another [not sure if I have any pics on here of that'un] who will perch up there a lot. But that cat is slightly... wrong in the head, I think. I found him in my yard at an old house, not long born with maggots all over him. I cleaned him up, and bottle fed him and he's a strong little psycho today. He totally has this creepy staring problem, though - especially when someone is near me, like say... my boyfriend. And he'll just stare and stare and stare and never break his gaze...

Yup. She's a sentry she is. It's funny because the cutie meows she gives are these light "innocent" sounding ones that's pretty much like "lap for me? Can have lap now?" Though with her she absolutely HATES other critters. The way she growls and hisses makes you think she could take on a lion.
She also doesn't like little kids either being she wasn't raised around them. So she'll smack and hisss at my niece and nephews when they try to pet her.

Eeeee, kitties are so good at being adorable and manipulating us with cute. I tell my cats that they are "ball of adorableness comprised of super compressed cute"
The weird thing with Hedwig [the one I hand raised] is that he's actually pretty good with kids, which I would think he wouldn't be since he was NEVER around them, and used to watch the neighbors walk with their kid. It was slightly creepy to see him at the window watching in the same manner as when he'd watch birds or other prey animals. xD But, I had a friend at the time who babysat this little girl and he was a doll! Which is good, because the kid came into the room at one point just kinda... holding him the way little children tend to hold cats and he was all calm and not psycho. that could have ended so badly! lol

Ya. My niece is the type to do the "insert hand quickly" ordeal and hope the cat won't react badly to it. As where my nephews, one being a baby are the types that like to do the "smack the spot in front of cat where she lies" and hope she doesn't react badly. So sometimes she'll hisss and smack with some minor scratches or she'll dodge them ahead of time and dart upstairs.
She's just not a child kitty and she's not gonna be. Especially with little kids that don't know how to handle them properly just yet. :3
