Now that I have an official name for this AU, I figured I’d revisit it by introducing a very certain someone. That someone being the one-eyed, demon of darkness himself. I’ve actually been planning on making “normal” Abaddon for quite some time, and now with this new AU, I finally had a good reason to! Believe it or not, I was going to make “normal” Abby have a similar body type to Demon Abaddon, but figured it would be better if he had a more slim and lean body compared to his more muscular demon body. Comparable to Gabe/Gaze and a lot of other demon harborers. Also, the “scar” on his eye isn’t actually a scar, it’s a marking, he always only had one eye.

However, those with scar-like markings similar to Abaddon’s are the most feared. It means they have an abnormally powerful demon within them. In this AU, inner demons are generally seen as embodiments of negative emotions, which is why they tend to take over if their host is feeling strong negative feelings. It is also why inner demons are usually a completely different person from their “normal” selves. Abby is a special case, though. He also shares some similarities between his normal and demon form. He can’t smell or taste in his normal form, and despite being rather slim, he’s quite strong in (what he calls) his lesser form alone. One thing to always watch out for is that either in certain lighting or when he is particular situations, his shadow will look like his inner demon.
