So, I've recently realized that while I have an abundance of characters for the hero faction of my universe, the Airship League, I don't actually have anyone for them to fight. As such, the next few uploads will more than likely be villains. Here is the first of these, and the "head" of the AL's primary antagonist faction.
Name: Cornelius John Spencer
Species: genetically modified human
Hair color: brown
Eye color: blue
Age: 49
Height: 7" 1'
Weight: unknown
Alignment: evil.
Cornelius Spencer is a well-known businessman, owner of Anvil Industries, and the bitter rival of Harlock Curtis's C-Corp. Unknown to the world, he is also the leader of a world-wide organization of criminals, terrorists, and other such low-lifes, with the aim of taking over the world to bring about what is to him a better world.
Cornelius was born John Richards to a poor family, and spent the first thirteen years of his life in a bad part of Brooklyn. His parents were killed in a car crash at age 13, and Cornelius was adopted by the owners of Anvil Industries; the Spencers, whose only child had died at birth. He received high education, and never forgot the time he had spent in Brooklyn. This, along with the view of how families like his adoptive parents lived, caused John to become disillusioned with society; those who needed care the most were left in the cold, and those who didn't were pampered beyond belief.
As a result of this, he vowed to make the world a better place - whatever the cost may be. He volunteered for a genetic enhancement experiment that Anvil was running, which ultimately failed. However, it granted John two things: a high genius-level intellect, and an increased desire to change the world. As a teen, John was a perfect role model of how society wanted teenagers to be; respectful, responsible, reliable, intelligent, athletic, and good-looking. He was even able to shed his Brooklyn accent in favor of the somewhat exaggerated "posh" accent his adoptive parents had.
However, this was all a facade; away from the cameras and the public, John was a menace. he was able to dig up secrets about those who threatened him, and in return threatened to reveal these secrets unless they work for him. He was also building a circle of contacts - many of whom were of the unsavory type - and planning out his eventual rise to power.
At the age of twenty-three and now having adopted the name Cornelius Spencer, the human held a respectable position within Anvil Industries, while having also begun dealing in more illegal matters, namely blackmail, extortion, and illegal trading of Anvil tech and resources. Eventually, the Spencers began to suspect him, and as such, he contracted mercenaries to have them assassinated, covering it up as though it had been a rival company. Meanwhile, Cornelius took over Anvil Industries.
Some time later, he was contacted by a creature of unknown origin, referring to itself only as "Tenebris". This creature apparently wished to aid Cornelius in his goal of world domination, and the corrupted human agreed, effectively allowing himself to become a puppet of the extraterrestrial being.
Shortly after this, he took note of the birth of Glenn Curtis, the firstborn son of his nemesis Harlock Curtis. He watched the young wolfox with curiosity at first, then envy and outright jealousy as the pup grew into a giant. It wasn't until the young Curtis discovered he had more than just brain and brawn to him and founded the Airship League that Cornelius began to take Glenn as a threat however; the newly-created AL posed the first major threat to his operations and plans that had been presented thus far. Now, Cornelius and Glenn are locked in an eternal struggle, though the latter doesn't know it.
To the casual observer, Cornelius is friendly, likable, and respectable, carrying himself with an air of professionalism. However, he is not actually so polite. In reality, Cornelius is a cunning, scheming villain with the goal of ruling the world.
Powers and abilities
Wealth: Cornelius has access to great amounts of funds and resources to run his operations.
Intellect: Cornelius is very intelligent, able to hide his involvement with criminals through unknown means.
