My parents got a condo in Orlando back in the late 80s, and at night there would be dozens of these around every light in the complex. More metasticization occurred over the years, and as the land was drained, more condos built, more poisons sprayed, their numbers tapered off. Last time I was there, in the early 90s, I could only find one or two in the whole place.
