My stepmother fell in love with this large Mouse statue at an art gallery in Sedona just before her birthday. I bought it for her. Looked charming in the store. Once placed in her living room, I swear it started to remind me of H.P. Lovecraft's story Dreams in the Witch House. Been privately referring to it as Brown Jenkin

In bright light yes, low light makes it look oddly creepy. The holding the tail pose makes it look like it is saying "Yes Master, what is thy bidding? heheh"
