"Raz, why is it that when we work together, we always run into bigger problems when trying to solve the one we were sent to fix in the first place?"

"Because we're lucky like that, Sarah, that's why."

The duo of Razira and Wolfgirl were currently ducking low against the remains of some kind of brick structure in the humid jungle of Monster Island, taking cover and planning their next move against a massive T-Rex that had somehow come out of nowhere to put its nose where it didn't belong. It roared again, giving the heroes a reminder that it was far too close for comfort.

Raz leaned forward, her bare feet squishing into the mud underfoot as she shifted her weight, and poked her head around the wall. "It's getting closer. If I had to guess, it's picked up our scent again. Any ideas?"

Wolfgirl was watching from the other side of the barrier, and she leaned back fully into cover as she responded. "If you can get it to roar reliably, I have a rather potent combination of shock devices on hand that might put it down if I can get them down its throat...at least for a little bit. Think you can freeze it in place?"

"...maybe. It's a lot faster than it looks and it doesn't want to stand still. I wish your arrows did more to it straight up as it's not like you can miss it due to its size."

Sarah scoffed. "Except its hide is so thick it's shrugging off what I'm shooting at it. You saw how it all but ignored my explosive arrow and your fireballs, right?"

"Don't remind me," Raz said with a sigh as she looked back to her ally. The joys of being a superhero - they never knew what to expect on a day to day basis, and some days were far worse than others. This was definitely one of the latter. "I'm ready when you are."

She nodded. "Let's do this."
