Welp, we can't fucking have nice things. The dev leads, even the ones I told directly to their face about my situation, came back with "well he isn't quite what we're looking for."

My HR contact is at a level of "I'll see what I can do" and "here's a job at 1/3 the price maybe they'll let you have it". Yeah, great. And they'll string me along for two more weeks that I don't fucking have, won't they?
I am so tired.
At what point can they admit "hey, this person has thirty fucking dollars left in their bank account, 5 days before rent is due." You wanna cut costs? Hire me for the Software Engineer-2 position, chop 20k off the price, and call it a done deal. $0 is not gonna work.
I went back and looked at their site: they have positions all over asking for Lead Developers and Senior Old Guys. Well guess what? You don't fucking GET lead developers unless you hire the ones with 2 years experience and let them grow. Fucking asswipes.
I don't even know. Like... maybe it'll end with getting a job that barely pays the rent, just to get my foot in the door to watch little interns with less experience than me find happiness. Maybe it'll end with nothing at all.
