Every once in a while, Myles will be invited to track bands at his friend Scott’s studio. There was a day that Myles came in early to start setting up the tracking room when he walked in to find another guitar player using his guitar. Initially, Myles was about to storm in and scream at this new guy for having the audacity to play his favorite Stratocaster... Until he heard him play. Myles was stunned. He had never heard of this type of progressive rock/indie music that was filling his ears with. Frozen in his tracks, he closed his eyes and let the music wash over him. It was as if he was discovering a new way of viewing how music can be expressed through the guitar.

After the unknown studio guitarist stopped playing, Myles eagerly opened the door to the tracking room.

“Heyo! Sorry to burst in but… I was listening to you playing earlier and this foxxo can honestly say that the music he heard was incredible!! I had no idea that the guitar could be used to perform songs like that! Oh shoot I haven’t even told you my name! Myles Kaiden Lucifurr!”

“I really appreciate that Myles! Name’s Eric Nico Sage! Nice to meet you dude! If you like, I can show you some of the other stuff that I’ve been writing in my spare time. Unless you need the studio space right now and I can clean things up here for you.”

“Well, I came in early to set up for the next recording session... but I have another hour to kill before I need to get started. Let’s hear it!”

I came up with this idea of having Myles and myself in an art piece together. My original idea was to have a portrait with Myles and myself, standing and posing back to back while looking at the viewer. That is until I found João Pedro Batista. I instantly knew that I wanted to commission himv with a new idea. But seeing how his gallery only included humans, I wasn’t sure that he would be willing to draw Myles. I’m so glad I decided to reach out with this new idea because João took the idea and ran with it. I keep gazing at it only to be more stoked about it each time. The color palette, the subtle details of the studio space and gear, and the anatomical positions that Myles and myself are in make this piece feel real to me. I can’t thank João enough for this amazing piece.
