Looks like tree seems to had ended up in an abandoned facility. While trying to find a way out the platform underneath him suddenly broke off, and he ended up falling into a large vat a latex and begins sinking deep. Tree also noticed that the latex seems to be sentient and climbing up his body as he descends further into the sticky black rubber.
