This isn't Jamaris, this is Jamaris's Stand, because the art was JoJos fan art of fan created stand users. Confused yet?


Tl;Dr: basically blue magician's red, but with a skeksis head and a genie.

I wanted to upload he stand separately because I put thought into it, and in the final some of the stuff is obscured. This stand is a genie bird thing, with the power to influence people through pheromones, I believe. Granted, I made her a genie bird. I would not figure what to do with a bird design wise, then I just decided to start to steel from Magician's Red a lil on design. And I really like when he's just a bird torso with fire for legs, a lot more that his actual, strange human legs. But since I needed to do something more, and there was already this connection with an ethereal, unseen influence thought pheromones- a bit like magic- I went with genie as my explanation. This started to inform other choices, like the idea she should have an inherently seductive, fertile fear, which lead me to use elements of various culture's fertility symbols. I tried to impart an inherent regal feel with the snake crown. Its a very heavy reference to the various Egyptian crowns worn throughout ancient times, which all featured a serpent. (And a reference once again to Stardust Crusaders.) For a moment she had the whole double crown but it felt too on the nose. To be more brief going ahead, the lotus is a frequent fertility symbol, and the moon a feminine one. The face jewelry, honestly was inspired by the Skeksis emperor. As was he head shape.
