Steve's wardrobe selection was unbearably slim, he'd have to attempt to shop online for something bigger, lest he be stuck indoors permanently. Admittedly that would be a lot easier to do if his fingers would stop growing too big to press individual keys, but once the claws came in it helped a little. Though he had to poke the keys carefully one at a time.
"Let's see, how about XXXXL shirts? Just to be safe..."
Refreshing the page was met with a frustrating message.
ALL LARGE SIZES ARE TEMPORARILY OUT OF STOCK, DUE TO OVERWHELMING DEMAND AND SHIPMENT DELAYS CAUSED BY THE SHIFTS PANDEMIC, WE ARE UNABLE TO SHIP OUT NEW ORDERS UNTIL SEPTEMBER AT THE EARLIEST, WE APOLOGIZE FOR THE INCONVENIENCE.
Steve frowned. Yet another unforeseen outcome of a global transformation pandemic. Who would have guessed!
Later that week, he'd finally received a phone call from the clinic confirming his booked appointment for his vaccine, which could potentially cure The Shifts if administered in time!
Except for one new problem, his phone wouldn't unlock as the fingerprint sensor and touchscreen wouldn't react to his claw or massive paw pads that had recently developed...
Steve spent a solid week or two trying to unlock his phone with his new big clumsy paws, at least until he got hungry and started raiding the fridge mindlessly. Being mostly a lion after several months of quarantine had sort of grown on him in a way. He was mostly the same deep down, but now he had a biological excuse for taking a lot of big cat naps on the couch. It's just what lions do!

If you have a nice coat, you don't need clothes anymore.
Too bad that it is so difficult to impossible to unlock his smartphone with paws. But whether the vaccination would have reversed this change. Stop would probably also make you some permanent problems, depending on how far the transformation has already progressed.
Paws are very impractical for many things. Fortunately, the refrigerator is well stocked and also has the appropriate food for a lion.
As a lion you don't have to have a bad conscience anymore when you take a nap on the sofa, I hope the sofa is stable enough for a lion.
A nice transformation sequence, I like it a lot.
