Franklin A'Nur'Bery Class Destroyer DDN-82-138
The Franklin A'Nur'Bery Class Destroyer is the latest class of "Standard Destroyer" in the Mai'No'Tian Navy. The "Standard Destroyers" are classified through design elements centered around less stealth technology and hull shapes, faster production time, a more tested design, and less economically straining. The Franklin A'Nur'Bery Class can be split further into 2 subclasses, the Block I and Block II. The Block Is (known as the Franklin A'Nur'Bery Class) feature a more conventional Anti-Air and CIWS Armaments suite of SAMs, CIWS cannons, and Decoys, while the Block IIs (known as the Fil'Mor Go'Has'Ith (DDN-107) Class) features a heavier reliance on Electronic Countermeasures, LAZERs, and Infrared Scattering. The ships range from DDN-82 with the Franklin A'Nur'Bery, to currently DDN-138 with the Rit'Klin Fer'Ver'Mor. All ships are named after Naval personnel in Mai'No'Tian History from the days before the Ku'Jil to present day. The Class provides the bulk of Anti-Submarine Warfare and a Moderate boost in Anti-Aircraft Warfare while in fleet operations while still being large enough to be split off independently to act on Picket Duty, Show of Force, Escort, Rescue, and a variety of other tasks that smaller Corvettes and Frigates lack the Blue Water Capability to do. The primary Armament of the class is 4x Single Mounted 150mm Dual Purpose Mk. 67 Railguns, the same found on the Isoroku Yamamoto class Battleships as secondary weapons. An average crew complement of 323 consists of 300 Enlisted with the rest picked up by Officers. Although sporting a helipad and landing equipment, the ships provide no hangar for any long term storage of aircraft onboard. The planed number of ships is capped at 66 ships with the last 10 under slow construction as after the end of the Metigal Conflict the need for larger warships was brought down and priorities were shifted else where. Many talks have come up about the restart of large scale production and sale of some ships to Mai'No'Tian Allies but they quickly dissolve after ergonomic refits would take up too much time and resources along with the long term effects of operations in waters and environments where although the class was planned to sail, was not for any extended time over a decade or more.
