This is a sketch, but I like it enough not to put it in Scraps just yet.
I don't draw violence or angst, because I've never really needed to express those emotions in my "art". But my little martian is one of those few characters that I can't help but enjoy getting a bit short tempered and a little worse for wear. Dual-wielding FTW.
I'm still not sure if that's how you spell troglodite. Mack has little respect for the mostly hairless apes that populate the planet he's crashed upon.
I drew this on the inside of a Cherry Blossom box with a regular cheapass pen. Not the little individual boxes; the big box that holds like 60 of them. I'm not supposed to draw when I'm on cash, so I'm lucky I didn't get in trouble.
Why can't I draw like this with real nice paper, pencils and inks? D:
I really gotta record me doing his voice. I'll do a little quick animation for it to. Someday.

Gaw damn! The fluidity, the spontaneity, the sheer anger! :D Nono, you can't let this escape, my friend, this is the stuff of real cartoonism!
I'd say the reason why you "can't" accomplish this on paper is because paper is usually so thin and easy-gliding. Sometimes we need a handful of staccato strokes to show us the limits of our talent. You definitely need to experiment more with this kind of grungy, line-weighted style. I wouldn't mind a minute if Plugged Nickel took on a similar visage. I mean, geez, just the word panels alone!
