Chuong: Oh my gosh Korea has gone nuts! Not even Vietnam has such a law!
Kang-Dae: It's dumb but sadly there's nothing we can do about it! Korean lawyers aren't going to have a good case with this on behalf of their clients. Then again, what would we rather have: this or children being at risk like the guy who stayed up playing World of Warcraft until he died from starvation, dehydration, and exhaustion? On top of this, kids can read manhwa (Korean equivalent to manga and anime) and watch it too.
Moon Mage: But manhwa isn't as engaging as computer games since the later requires user interaction. Therefore in the eyes of our government, the Cinderella Law would help prevent children from staying up late to play computer or video games.
Zachary/Zihao: This is a slippery slope. That kind of law will not fly in many countries; especially in the United States. So basically in Korea, computer/video gaming is for adults?
Kang-Dae: Pretty much.
Chuong: Wow my dad used to say they're for kids. Not in Korea apparently. All we can do and see how this unfolds but I'm going to try to be optimistic and say the controversial Cinderella Law is working as intended. After all, those under the age of 19 in Korea are under the age of majority and therefore have no say in these kinds of things since they can't even vote yet.
