I wrote this song for my mother, after we learned my father had 3rd stage lung cancer. The title is kinda a play on words, 'cos her name is Lillian, and she loves flowers and plants and loves her garden stuff. (and yes I know it should be spelled 'Lilies', but it was intentional this way).

I played this for her a while ago, and of course it didn't have the strings or background guitar, it was just me and my nylon-string. It made her cry, so I knew she loved it before she even said anything. When I played it for her, my younger brother Adam was lying on the bed with us and kept making smartass remarks while I was warming up and ended up cursing him out and told him to leave, but mom got him to shut up. It was kinda funny.
